The pupils from year 3, 4 , 6, 7 & 8 took part in the ‘1001 Inventions: Journeys from Alchemy to Chemistry’event at the Royal Society of Chemistry on Thursday 12th December 2019. This was a very exciting learning experience for the pupils as they took part in hands-on workshops aiming to improve their understanding of chemistry and its numerous uses in our lives. In addition, they visited an exhibition looking at the remarkable work of different pioneers from different backgrounds and cultures, such as Jabir ibn Hayyan, the great polymath from the 8th century.
