Students from Barnet Hill Academy were given a unique opportunity to visit the New Scientist Live Exhibition at London Excel. Spread over four zones, the exhibition housed a multitude of institutions and organisations all working towards advances in STEM. Our students took part in a variety of workshops including looking at their own DNA under a microscope, entering the world of virtual reality, sampling what the moon smells like and making their very own bath bomb!
Our secondary students were given the additional opportunity to speak to leading institutions for careers advice, whilst following through different education pathways centred around STEM. It was a well attended event and thoroughly enjoyed by both students and staff from the primary and secondary sections.
