Year 6 - Trip to the Maritime Museum!
The Greenwich Maritime Museum holds over 2.5 million items including astronomical and navigational instruments, ship models, coins and flags! Moreover, it's also home to the world's largest maritime library and archive collection! Our Year 6 students dived into the world of maritime history, investigating a variety of nautical transport, as well as the history of many naval battles! Our students loved this dip into different seafaring experiences!
World Book Day!
Of course, we couldn't celebrate World Book Day without bringing various children's stories to life! Both staff members and students wholeheartedly participated in dressing up as their favourite book character, creating a great environment of solidarity at BHA! From Cruella De Ville and her crazy hair and fur coat, to Harry Potter's iconic robe and glasses, our students thoroughly enjoyed getting creative with their costumes!
World Book Day exists as a celebration for all things literature, and by having a day dedicated to honouring some of our students' favourite fictional heroes, we aim to bring a new layer of enjoyment to reading books! We would also like all parents and carers for their support in helping students come up with their costumes!
Year 1 - Exploring Senses!
As part of their studies, our Year 1 students have been exploring their senses! From smell, to sight, to taste, our Year 1 pupils have thoroughly enjoyed their sensory exploration!
Year 5 - World Book Day Activity Booklet
Our Year 5 students have made their very own activity booklets for World Book Day! The booklet contained a variety of creative tasks, such as writing interview questions for an author, creating a bookish quiz for their friends, designing their own book cover and writing a blurb for one of their favourite books!
