Nursery Autumn Nook
Our Nursery students have taken an interest in the changing of the seasons, and as the leaves change colour outside, our students and EYFS staff members have put together their very own autumn nook. With acorns, conkers, twigs and leaves, our Nursery students are able to explore the different features of autumn in a creative and engaging way!
Year 3 - Predator Role Plays
Our Year 3 students have also been honing in on their crafting skills and their creativity, as they role played the behaviours of predators; as part of their topic, our students have explored different predators in detail. From apex predators like lions and tigers, to other predators like hawks and wolves, our students have studied each animal's diet, its optimum habitation, its physical features and more! Our Year 3 class has donned the caps of zoologists, and they've thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this topic!
Year 2 - Measuring Distance
Our Year 2 students took their Science lesson outside, where they used a trundle wheel to measure the distance around the school! They thoroughly enjoyed this activity, where they were able to work as a team and explore the scientific concepts they're learning about in a new and exciting way!
Year 4 - Making Lego Houses for Book Characters!
As part of their class reading, where our Year 4 students have been reading the award-winning novel 'The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane' (a story which follows the journey of a china rabbit and his various experiences) our students crafted their own colourful houses made out of Lego, bricks and blocks, truly bringing the story of Edward Tulane to life! Not only did this activity allow our students to spark their imagination and creativity, but it made the reading experience so much more engaging!
