Year 1 - Making Sun-Catchers!

Our Year 1 students attempted to catch the sun's rays this week by creating their very own suncatchers! By using different coloured, translucent paper, our Year 1 students were really able to see all the different colours of the sun being reflected!

Year 4 - Making Dreamcatchers!

Did you know that dreamcatchers first originated in the 1960s and 70s, becoming wildly used by Native Americans? And in some cultures, dreamcatchers are also known as 'the spider web charm' or 'the dream snare'! And our Year 4 students made their own beautiful dreamcatchers over the course of two days, and don't they look absolutely fabulous?

Year 5 - WWI Poetry Anthology

Our Year 5 students became well-versed in the realms of poetry as they took all the information they'd learned about WWII in their history lessons to write their very own poetry pieces! Each piece was beautifully composed, capturing the gut-wrenching effects the war had on soldiers and civilians alike. Every poem was then compiled into Year 5's very own poetry anthology!

Year 4 - Combining Electric Circuits and Crafts!

As part of their science lessons all about circuits, our Year 4 students made cars with actual working headlights! How impressive! And the first step is putting together their cars! Our students put on their scientific caps to construct working circuits using batteries, bulbs and wires connected with crocodile clips! And now, we put our different parts together and there you have it! A model of a car with headlights that work! Hats off to our students who used their knowledge of circuits to create something fantastic!
