Year 2 - Trip to the RAF Museum
It's one thing to learn about History from behind a screen, and it's quite another to see it up close, first-hand, right in front of your eyes. Our Year 2 students had the exciting opportunity to visit the RAF museum where they were even able to re-enact moments of history in authentic costumes too! Through role-play and observing different types of historical evidence, our students were able to fine-tune all the skills they need to be future historians! And they had an absolutely great time doing so!
Muslim Digital Safety Workshop!
In a world dominated by technology and media, it's crucial that our students are made aware of its effects and both the positive and negative aspects that coincide with posting online. And so, to allow our students to acclimate with the changing social stratosphere, BHA conducted its first ever Muslim Digital Safety workshop! Comprising of multiple sessions spaced a few weeks apart, this workshop enabled our students to dive headfirst into the fast-growing world of technology, but in a child-friendly way! By linking media and bullying together, our students were encouraged to think out of the box, and we hope to present our new anti-bullying ambassadors real soon!
Nursery - Starry Reading Corner
Our Nursery students have been thoroughly enjoying using their book corner to the fullest! Equipped with a myriad of of stories for them to choose from, the cushy area provides optimum comfort for our students to dive into the pages of their favourite books! At BHA, we encourage reading and storytelling from a young age, and reading tales like 'The Gruffalo' and 'Hello Friend' enhance our students' imagination and curiosity!
Making Healthy Snacks!
To emphasise the importance of healthy eating, our students donned chef caps and aprons in our cafeteria, making a plethora of healthy snack ideas like fruit yogurts topped with freshly cut fruit and granola! Cooking is an important skill to introduce to students, as it's integral to nurturing creativity and developing time-management and instruction-following skills! Our students absolutely loved these special cooking sessions, and they certainly made some scrumptious-looking treats, too!
