Eid Party
On Friday, our students enjoyed a fun Eid celebration, with games, sporting activities and snacks! While Key Stage 2 enjoyed some team games, our Key Stage 1 students had a bouncy castle to enjoy. The Eid party allowed us all to get into the occasion's festivity, and encouraged class bonding too. We hope to continue this exciting tradition in the future, by bringing the spirit of Eid within our school walls!
Year 4 - Anglo Saxon Runes
Our Year 4 students have connected art with history this week, and have been inscribing their names in ancient, Anglo Saxon scriptures, and by exercising their creative juices, they've been able to connect with their history topic in new and innovative ways.
Year 2 - Science Trip
Our Year 2 students had the chance to explore the wilderness of our local park this week, as they searched and recorded various insects in their habitats in correlation with their science lessons. Whilst observing ants and moths, beetles and bugs in their habitats, our students also learnt about the importance of environmental care, and their role in preserving the wildlife.
Year 4 - Eid Cards
This week we've been getting into the spirit of Eid at Barnet Hill Academy, and our students have made an array of beautifully-decorated Eid cards - channelling their inner creatives to bring joy to their friends and families on this special occasion!
