Year 3 - Black History Month
One of the most notable political philosophers and activists was Martin Luther King Jr who made striking efforts to the liberation of African Americans in a racially-segregated United States. In addition, he was a leader of the American civil rights movement and he organized a number of peaceful protests. Our Year 3 students enjoyed learning about the life of MLK Jr, and made fantastic booklets, as well as their own iterations of African masks!

Reception - Black History Month!
Jewellery has been part of African culture for over 75,000 years, and it's historical impact on African culture was celebrated in our Reception class where they made beautiful necklaces and bracelets inspired by the designs they'd seen!

Year 2 - Black History Month
We've surely all seen pictures of African sunset landscapes, a staple in the art genre, and this week our Year 2 students had a go at painting their very own landscapes!
In addition, they made amazing masks also inspired by their historical significance!

A Visit from a Local MP!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our discussion with our local David Pinto-Duschinsky regarding our application of VAT to independent school fees. It was certainly an eye-opening meeting, and we'll be sure to share further information following the half-term holidays!
