Anti-Bullying Poster Competition Winners!
After much deliberation, our student council members selected the winners of the anti-bullying poster competition, all of whom worked incredibly hard to utilise their creative talents in order to convey a powerful message. Through such artistic outlets, our students are able to have conversations about meaningful topics, and identify solutions to any problems that could arise. This competition allowed our students to advocate for a strong cause, voice their opinions and fine-tune their critical thinking skills. Here are the names of all our winners:
Reception - Maryam and Sofia
YR 1 - Fadhil, Musa and Mariyah
YR 2 - Nasreen, Hamza and Abdur-Rahman
YR 3 - Imaan and Humaira
YR 4 - Ayah and Ameera
YR 5 - Sulaiman and Muntaz
YR 6 - Qays and Umamah
Hats off to everyone who participated in this competition, and worked hard to deliver a fantastic poster!
Nursery - Enjoying our book corner!
Some of our students opted for a relaxed morning, in Nursery where they snuggled up in their brand-new reading den to dive into the story of The Runaway Pea! The new reading den looks like the perfect place to curl up with a hilarious, and beautifully-illustrated story, about a rogue pea going on a perilous adventure!
Year 3 - Researching about bees!
Our Year 3 students utilised the ICT lab this week to conduct some research all about bees! For instance, did you know that honey bees never sleep? And, out of all the different species of bees, honey bees are the ones who produce food for humans? Using their research skills, our Year 3 class enjoyed searching up cool facts and transferring the information into an information chart! The independence of the ICT lab also provides our students with an outlet to use electronics in a productive, safe and healthy environment, and our pupils certainly seem to enjoy their lessons there!
Year 2 - Exploring 2D Shapes!
Year 2 had a fun time exploring different kinds of 2D shapes, and using them to create patterns. Some of our pupils even used the shapes to construct impressive scenes from their own imaginations while others used templates to assist them in crafting patterns. Not only did this task encourage our students to think outside the box, but they identified and examined the properties of different 2D shapes, too!
