Anti-Bullying Poster Competition!

Creativity fuels our students here at BHA, and they love bringing an artistic flair to all the different projects and ventures they participate in. A healthy competition struck up this week at school, with our students determined to make powerful and enigmatic anti-bullying posters! Our student council had a tough time deliberating over the best ones, and stay tuned for next week's newsletter to find out who our winners are!

Reception - Writing New Vocabulary!

Our Reception students are reaching new milestones, one of which will be the foundation of all their future English lessons throughout school - writing words! With the support of their teachers and their peers cheering them on, our Reception class took turns writing down some short and snappy words and they did so with great success! We can't wait to see how their phonics and writing evolves throughout the year!

Nursery - Painting Broccoli!

We visited our Nursery one morning and it was lovely to have a glimpse into what our youngest pupils here at BHA get up to. Some of our Nursery students were starting off the day with some painting where they used sponges to paint broccoli! They even had a live broccoli which they used for inspiration. Through exploring different textures and colours, our students not only exercised their fine-motor skills but learned about the concept of healthy eating too. Activities like this allow our students to get engaged with the task at hand, let their imagination run free, and create something great!

Non-Uniform Day!

This Friday our students thoroughly enjoyed coming into school in non-uniform! Dressed in the colours of the Palestine flag, our students aimed to raise awareness for the current situation in Gaza, Palestine. Following on from last month's bake sale, our students expanded on their initiative to show support for those affected in Gaza, and dressed in solidarity.
