Odd Socks Day!
Marking the start of Anti-Bullying week is Odd Socks Day, where everyone comes into school wearing any socks they like! The purpose of this activity is to raise awareness about bullying whilst encouraging children to be themselves and have fun. Our students here at BHA loved participating in this meaningful venture, and we've got some funny snapshots of what we got up to during the day!
Anti-Bullying Assembly!
It is said by the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W "Every act of kindness is charity."
This week, our students engaged in a multitude of activities regarding Anti-Bullying, which included holding meaningful discussions regarding the consequences of bullying, and the steps we can take to prevent it from happening. Some of our students across Key Stage 2 also put together a fantastic presentation where they educated pupils on bullying and its types. It was wonderful to see this initiative being taken by our students, and how activities like these serve to instill compassion and empathy within our youth.
Year 3 - Sewing our own Bookmarks!
Our 3 students explored something new this week in their DT lessons - namely, they had a go at sewing their names onto bookmarks! Despite it being a little tricky at the start, our students tackled the task at hand with determination and efficiency and were extremely happy with their results!
