Year 5 - We Went Rock-Climbing!
Our Year 5 students eagerly recapped their thrilling rock-climbing adventure; their trip comprised of climbing to jaw-dropping lengths, and leaping from different rubber structures! Here, our students could put to use the skills they'd honed during their P.E. lessons throughout the weeks, and we think our students did a fantastic job!
Year 6 - Junior Citizenship!
To prepare them for their first step following Primary School, our Year 6 students took a Junior Citizenship trip to receive some advice from industry professionals; this included taking First Aid, Swimming and Road Safety and Fire Safety workshops, as well as many other interactive activities. It's a big leap, jumping from Primary to Secondary School, and this series of workshops equipped our students with important information that they'll be able to use for the years to come.
Year 4 and 5 - A Road Safety Workshop!
It wasn't just our Year 6 children that got to experience fun workshops - we were thrilled to have some extremely talented people over from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (RCSSD) to conduct Road Safety workshops for our students in Year 4 and 5, too. Our students were able to watch a play which embodied the importance of staying safe on the road, and contributed to discussions all stemming around this theme. Our students had some great answers to give, and asked very insightful questions, and overall, these sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by both classes!
Year 1 - Planting Seeds!
BHA has always been known to exercise its green thumb, and our students always enjoy interacting with nature - this week, our Year 1 students all planted their very own white bean seeds and now anticipate them growing into healthy plants! This activity was not only interactive and engaging, but allowed for our students to understand the process of growing a plant, nurturing it, as well as learning all about the different factors that affect plant growth!
