Year 6 - Hot Chocolate Book Club!
Year 6's Friday Hot Chocolate Book Club seems to be the perfect way to start the morning - our students enjoyed sipping on delicious, warm hot chocolate on this cold morning while immersing themselves into the pages of a novel. By creating a relaxed environment, our students are able to thrive in their reading, and are encouraged to think deeply about what they have chosen to read, whether that's a page-turning mystery, an exhilarating adventure epic, or a laugh-out-loud comic.

Year 2 - Epic Collages!
It was all about cutting and sticking in our Year 2's art lesson where they used paper found in newspapers, magazines and other resources to create different landscapes. From the sandy plains of imaginary beaches, to the roaring waves of a distant ocean, our Year 2 students brought their imaginations to life by making colourful and creative collages!

Year 1 - Using oil pastels to create art!
Our Year 1 students thoroughly enjoyed exploring the artistic medium of oil pastels, and used techniques such as shading and blending to create contours and effect onto their hand prints. They were eager to share their green thumbs (quite literally!) and we had a great time observing their different approaches to their artwork.

Recreating Frank Bowling's Paintings
Frank Bowling, a British artist, is well known for his embodiment of abstract colour and imagery in his work and his services to the arts also landed him an OBE and knighthood! His work is represented in over 50 collections worldwide, and his most recent works bring together a multitude of techniques honed over a lifetime of painting. Our students thoroughly enjoyed learning about Bowling's biography as well as attempting at bringing his abstract and modernist flair into their own recreations!
