Year 2 - Expressionism Art!
Year 2 has certainly been busy this week, as they've participated in a variety of different activities, one of which was a lesson on Expressionism art! Given free reign to design pieces of work inspired by the famous artistic movement, our students were able to showcase their flair for mark-making, painting and design.
Ready, Steady, Grow!
As part of their topic, 'Ready, Steady, Grow', our Reception students explored all things related to planting, and healthy eating! Our cohort of students thoroughly enjoyed these activities which included using seeds to create some expressive artwork, exploring different types of vegetables, and even taking a trip down to a local shop where they identified many different types of fruits and vegetables! Linking their learning to healthy eating has also allowed our students to discover what food items are considered as healthy, and which items are allowed only occasionally!

World Book Day Competition Winners!
Following up from World Book Day, we're thrilled to announce the winners of our World Book Day competition - a school-wide event that challenged our students to produce their own book covers and bookmarks, bringing the stories from their minds to life in absolutely fantastic creations. It was definitely a hard call to decide the winners, so we brought in our Student Council! After a difficult deliberation, here are our winners:
